How we handle your career data.

We collect only what we need to run the product and improve your prep experience.

• Account info — your email, name, a password hash (never your raw password), and basic preferences.
• Optional profile details — after signing up you may tell us how you heard about us, your career stage, and your country. These are optional, used only to understand our audience and improve the product (our legitimate interest), and never sold. You can view, edit, or delete them anytime on your profile, and they’re included in your data export.
• Resumes & job descriptions you upload or paste, plus the structured analysis we generate from them (skills, scope, fit score, gap list).
• Interview sessions — metadata, voice-call transcripts, scoring rubrics, and feedback reports generated from your mocks.
• Billing records — for each purchase we store the amount, currency, credit balance, and the payment-processor reference ids. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor; we never see or store them.
• Limited security metadata — to rate-limit sensitive actions like password resets we store a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself). We do not run web analytics or track your browsing.

• We do not sell your personal data or your career history.
• We do not send raw resume or JD content to third-party analytics, ad-tech, or marketing tools.
• We do not impersonate human recruiters. AlohoMira is an AI recruiter for practice only.
• We do not guarantee interview outcomes or job offers.
• We do not share your content with employers, recruiters, or hiring platforms.

Your content is sent to AI providers strictly to generate your analysis, plan, and feedback. We do not use your resumes, job descriptions, transcripts, or feedback reports to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, and we do not authorize our providers to use your content for their own products or model training — they process it only to deliver the service to you.

AlohoMira is an independent product built on third-party AI models. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any AI model provider.

We rely on a short list of vetted providers to deliver the service. Each one only sees the data it strictly needs.

• Cloud hosting & database — application hosting and a managed Postgres database for account data, resumes, JDs, transcripts, and reports.
• AI provider — large-language-model inference for parsing, fit scoring, interview-plan generation, and feedback. Sees the resume / JD / transcript content needed for that specific call.
• Voice provider — real-time voice infrastructure for the mock interview call and post-call transcript. Audio is processed for the duration of the call and a transcript is returned to us.
• Email — transactional email for verification, password resets, and purchase confirmations. Receives your email address (and, if you ask us to email your results, your report PDF).
• Payment processor — Creem, our merchant of record, runs the hosted checkout and issues your receipt. It receives your email address to process the purchase; your card details go to Creem, never to us.

Your microphone audio is streamed to our voice provider for real-time conversation with the AI recruiter. To tailor the call to you, your resume and job description (and summaries drawn from them) are sent to the AI and voice providers so the questions fit your background and target role. We do not store the call audio — after the call we receive a transcript, which we store alongside the session and use to generate your feedback report. You can delete your interview history at any time, which removes the transcript and report from our primary store.

The microphone is only active for the duration of the call. Closing the call stops the stream.

• Data is transmitted over TLS / HTTPS in transit.
• Your sensitive resume, job-description, interview, and report content is application-level encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before it is written to the database — with a key we hold separately, on top of the managed provider’s own disk-level encryption at rest.
• Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we never see or store the raw password.
• Provider API keys (AI, voice) are stored server-side only and never shipped to the browser.
• Access to production systems is restricted to a small number of AlohoMira maintainers.
• When you email your results to yourself, the PDF passes through our email provider and lands in your mailbox — once sent, that copy is outside our control.

No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect a vulnerability, please email support@alohomira.com.

• Your choice at sign-up. If you opt in, your resumes, JDs, sessions, transcripts, and reports are saved to your profile so you can revisit and compare past prep. If you opt out, we process each interview only to generate your report, email you a PDF, and then hard-delete every copy we hold (legal basis: performing the service you asked for). You can change this anytime in Settings. Unsent or abandoned opt-out sessions are automatically purged by a scheduled cleanup job, typically within 24 hours.
• Deleted items are removed from our primary store immediately. Copies held by our AI/voice provider are queued for deletion and removed on a best-effort basis shortly after.
• Account deletion removes your profile and all associated content immediately, except where we’re required to retain limited records (e.g. fraud / abuse, tax, or legal obligations, including payment receipts held by our payment processor).
• Aggregate, non-identifying analytics (e.g. counts of mock interviews per role category) may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. You can:

• Update your name and email from Settings.
• Delete your entire interview history, or your whole account, from Settings.
• Toggle whether we store your history, and download a complete copy of your data as JSON, from Settings — no email required.
• Email support@alohomira.com to lodge a complaint or exercise any other right.

We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

We use only a small number of strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in, CSRF protection, and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics.

AlohoMira is operated by AlohoMira. Your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including regions where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

AlohoMira is a professional interview-prep tool and is not intended for or directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-product notice before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

From your settings, you can delete your entire interview history (analyses, transcripts, reports, and saved resumes/JDs) or your whole account. Deletion is immediate and removes data from our primary store; copies held by our AI/voice provider are queued for deletion and removed shortly after.
